Don't resist trying this magnificently
delicious Italian Pasta Puttanesca!
Ingredients:
- olives
- capers
- extra virgin oive oil
- red pepper flakes
- crushed or grated garlic
- all canned peeled tomatoes
- salt
- linguine pasta
- coriandor
Recipe:
- Cut olives in half then add them to a pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
- Add the capers.
- Add the red peppers flakes
- Add crushed or grated garlic
- Fry gently for 1-2 mins without letting the garic burn
- Add canned tomatoes - simmer sauce on medium to low heat for 15 minutes.
- Cook paste just before 'Al dente'
- Add pasta to sauce, add salt ONLY if needed.
- Garnish with coriandor - Buon Appetito!
Fact about Pasta Puttanesca:
Puttanesca sauce originated in Naples. It is made from tomatoes, black olives,
capers, anchovies, onions, garlic, and herbs, usually oregano and parsley but
sometimes also basil. It is an easy sauce, briefly cooked, and is very fragrant and spicy.
